Schedule - Cape Point to Cape Agulhas (Fixed-Wing)
There is a misconception that the Cape of Good Hope is the southern tip of Africa because it was once believed to be the dividing point between the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. In fact, the southernmost point is Cape Agulhas, about 150 kilometres (90 mi) to the east-southeast.
Now for the first time, it’s possible to see both tips of Africa in one day. We introduce the Cape Point to Cape Agulhas scenic flight. This aerial tour starts at a private airfield before heading south-west towards Melkbosstrand and Robben Island (where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for many years), then towards Sea Point, trendy Camps Bay, Sandy Bay, Hout Bay, the beautiful long beaches of Noordhoek and Kommetjie, and the sleepy seaside village of Scarborough. Finally, we fly over the famous, most southerly tip of the peninsula, Cape Point. We then continue flying along Falcebay, Hangklip, all along the coastline to Cape Agulhas at a height of up to 2000ft above the water before returning back the airfield over the mountains.
**Landing at Cape Agulhas for lunch is optional.
